HTeaO Announces New Store Opening in Waco, TX
July 22nd, 2019
(Waco, TX) Waco, TX will be home to HTeaO’s newest franchise. HTeaO is excited to welcome Mays Inc., the Kore Group and Dusty Smith to the HTeaO family.
To get to where we are today you have to go back a few years to 2013 when Mays Inc. first bought into the vision of Texas Tea and paved the way for the original Texas Tea prototype store to be built on the corner of The Shops at Wolflin. When speaking to Mays Inc. President Randy Sharp he said “We have all benefitted from the iconic blow-up gallon tea balloon on the corner and the craziness that is Happy Hour.” Fast forward to 2018 when a casual conversation between HTeaO President Justin Howe, Mays Inc.’s Austin Sharp and the Kore Groups Zane Oliver on a flight home from a conference led to the birth of HTeaO Waco. Looking back on that flight Austin said “We've enjoyed watching Texas Tea grow. So when the opportunity to be involved in a successful company arose, we jumped on it. We strongly believe not only in the product HTeaO produces, but also the concept of empowering people in the process.”
When asked “why Waco” McKay Anderson said “Amarillo is home, but Waco is our second home! The Mays Inc team is made up of 3 generations of Baylor Bears. We love that Waco is changing, growing and thriving and are excited to be a part of the new opportunities there.”
HTeaO will include it’s custom tea bar with 24 flavors of sweet and unsweet iced tea and will also feature a full line of YETI merchandise and healthy snack options featuring Project7, Clif Bars, Clint & Sons Beef Jerky and many other options.
The Waco store will also feature a “Tea Brewing Station” which will put the tea brewing process front and center and allow customers to watch the Brewmaster siphon brew tea all day long.
“After spending the better part of the past decade creating systems and building a franchise infrastructure we are excited to lock arms with Mays Inc, Kore Group, Dusty Smith and their families to bring the vision and the customer experience of an HTeaO store to Waco.” says Justin Howe, President & CEO for HTeaO.
